Poplar Tree Plantation
These are used to make matchsticks so they are easy to sell.
  • Location of planned plantation: Forward Kahuta, District Haveli
  • Grown to sellable size: 4 year after plantation.
To be planted every year as the whole tree is to be sold instead of just the fruit (as in the case of the walnut tree)

Walnut Tree Plantation
Location of planned plantation: District Neelum, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan.
  • Plants provided:15
  • Expected to bear fruit: 4-5 years after plantation
  • Cost per family: £30 (£2/tree)
